At the Scoville Library ... 

On all three days, our fabulous Friends of the Library Book Sale will be open. Click this link for hours: Friends of the Library Book Sale. 

On Saturday, the library hosts children's activities and kid-friendly performances outdoors.

On Saturday only, we launch the Second Annual Salisbury READS! This year's Salisbury READS choice is Revolution Song, by Russell Shorto. Pick up one of the 75 free copies (courtesy of the Scoville Library and the Salisbury Association) plus a free bookmark, and learn about upcoming READ events.

What is Salisbury READS? Salisbury READS encourages the entire community to read a selected book together and engage in discussions and other fun and informative events from October 2025 through March 2026. Salisbury READS 2025 is presented in partnership with the Salisbury Association, the Salisbury Forum, and the Troutbeck Symposium, and is affiliated with Salisbury's Commemoration of America 250.

What is Salisbury Fall Festival?

Salisbury Fall Festival is a full three-day weekend of fun, including performances, and events sponsored by local organizations and businesses. In the mood for food? Visit the vendors and try delicious homemade baked goods and jams, Greek pastries, baked potatoes with toppings, chili, mac ‘n cheese, crepes, lobster rolls, and hot dogs. Stroll around town and admire the beautiful quilts on display at the Congregational Church, watch the Martha Graham Dancers, tour the Scarecrow Contest entries, visit the Accessories exhibit at the Salisbury Association's Academy Building, watch magic shows and performances, hear live music by the Salisbury Band and the Joint Chiefs, enjoy the annual Pet Parade, a prime rib dinner, hayrides, the SWSA Brew-Ski Fest, and much more.
