Easy Reversible Double Knitting with Bruce Weinstein In-Person
Join best-selling author Bruce Weinstein for three weeks of easy double knitting and create fabric that is totally reversible with flat stockinette on both sides. Bruce’s technique is simple and doesn’t require you to carry two strands down the row. Each class is free standing, but coming to all three will give you more confidence in knitting with this exciting technique.
Registration is required. Please use the link below.
This workshop is offered free to all participants, thanks to generous support from the Friends of the Scoville Library and from library patrons like you.
Workshop Schedule
For each class bring circular needles plus a light and dark color of the same DK weight yarn.
For week one (September 10th), we’ll start off with a simple six-row repeat pattern that creates vertical stripes on one side and a solid color on the other side. Perfect for a scarf or a blanket.
For week two (September 17th), , we’ll make it a little more challenging with stripes on one side and railroad tracks on the back. It may look harder but it’s actually a very easy four-row repeat that you can memorize.
For week three (September 24th), , we’ll make a reversible fabric with a mirror image on both sides. One side will highlight the boxes while the other side highlights the rectangles inside the boxes.
