Writing the Memoir: A Monthly Meet-Up with Leigh Curran In-Person
Our memoir writing program continues with a monthly group that provides memoirists with constructive feedback and support in the writing process. Led by memoir writer, playwright, novelist, poet, and actress, Leigh Curran, the group will meet from April through July. Some writing experience is recommended for those joining the group.

All sessions meet from 3:00 -5:00 PM in the Oak Room at the Scoville Library, on second Thursdays, April through July:

Leigh Curran is a playwright, novelist, poet, and memoir writer. She has taught memoir writing to seniors at Emeritus College in Santa Monica, CA, and is currently the Co-Moderator of Berkshire Voices, the playwriting workshop associated with the Great Barrington Public Theatre. Her plays have been produced nationally and internationally at theaters including The Long Wharf Theatre, Circle Rep, and La Mama. As an actress, she has appeared on, off, and way-off Broadway. Her first novel, Going Nowhere Sideways, was published by Fithian Press. For 22 years Leigh was the Founder/Artistic Director of the Virginia Avenue Project, a non-profit using the arts and mentoring to give underserved children the skills to think creatively, critically, and courageously about life goals and choices.
