Memoir Workshop with Leigh Curran In-Person
Whether you are already writing a memoir or have considered writing one but didn't know where to start, this workshop is for you. Open to all writing levels, this five-week program led by author and writing instructor Leigh Curran will guide you through tried-and-true approaches to memoir writing, offering techniques in structure and style, in-class writing, constructive feedback, support, and inspiration.
The workshop will introduce three main approaches to writing memoir and focus on the key component: story. Each session will feature one or more story-writing techniques and in-class writing to prompts that will guide you in those techniques. Optional take-home exercises, recommended readings, and writing resources will also be offered.
Registration is required and is for the whole five-session series.
This series is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Scoville Library.
