French Chocolate Making with Professional Chocolatier Flora Lazar In-Person
Join Flora Lazar, professional French pastry chef, chocolatier and practicing therapist, to make delicious French bon bons. Combining French culinary training and mindfulness principles, Flora's chocolate workshop is a rich meditative, sensory experience. And you'll take home your own handmade bon bons to enjoy, just in time for the holiday!
Experience the perceptual, tactile, and olfactory experience of French chocolate making!
At the end of the workshop, participants will leave with their own beautiful hand-made confections to take home and share.
On November 16th, we will make French bon bons. French chocolate is richer in cocoa butter, which makes it creamier and smoother, more intense and less sweet. It melts in the mouth with flavors that are complex and subtle.

Flora Lazar is a psychotherapist, writer, and chocolatier working in Salisbury. (www.floralazar.com). Before becoming a therapist, Flora had a French confections business and sold French confections at Chicago‘s premier juried farmers market, as well as in high-end retailers around the country (www.floraconfections.com). Flora was an invited food blogger for the Huffington Post (https://www.floraconfections.com/blog/) and the originator/producer of “Kings of Pastry,” an acclaimed film about France’s oldest and most prestigious pastry competition, the “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” (www.kingsofpastry.com). The film aired on PBS, BBC and stations around the world, and was screened at the Berlin, Amsterdam, Full Frame Festivals, among others. Flora has traveled throughout France, observing France’s most esteemed pastry chefs and chocolatiers at close range and absorbing their pastry-Zen.
We will meet in the Congregational Church of Salisbury kitchen at 30 Main Street in Salisbury, CT.
