Watercolor Workshop with Artist Peter Cusack In-Person
In this workshop series, we will explore watercolor painting through a variety of subjects and practices including outdoor painting, painting from life, studying artworks from art history, and still life painting. You will learn effective techniques and theory such as how to organize color, contour drawing, composition and value, as well as simple tools, tips, and tricks that support your confidence and enjoyment. This fun, informative class is for all levels with challenges for beginners and experienced painters.
Peter Cusack is an artist, art instructor, editor, and curator. He holds degrees from Syracuse University and Ecole Albert Dufois in France. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of American Illustration, the New York Transit Museum, and the United States Air Force. His work has also appeared in Architectural Digest, An Illustrated Life, and Drawing Inspiration: Visual Artists at Work. Peter is the founder of COCOA: The Journal of Cornwall Contemporary Art. He lives in West Cornwall and teaches in New York City.
Seating and supplies (paper, pencils, and a watercolor palette) will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own supplies.
