"Holley Knife History and Fun with Knives" with Holley descendant Theodore Rudd O'Neill, presented by the Salisbury Association In-Person
SML is proud to partner with the Salisbury Association to present an important slice of Salisbury history!
Theodore Rudd O’Neill, the great-great-great grandson of Alexander Holley, who founded the Holley Manufacturing Company in 1844, will speak on how knives were made, the history of the Holley Mfg. Company and why it closed, and the differences among knives today. He will also give a demonstration of knife sharpening – just in time for your fall holiday celebrations.
This presentation kicks off the Salisbury Association's new exhibition “When the World Came to Salisbury: Celebrating the Holley Knife Collection," which opens on October 5th at the Academy Building (24 Main Street, Salisbury, CT).
Following Mr. O'Neill's talk, you are invited to walk to the Academy Building (two blocks away) to enjoy the exhibition's Opening Reception from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.
Please join us for one or both of these events!
