Book Discussion with Project SAGE: Nobody's Victim, by Carrie Goldberg In-Person
Join the staff of Project SAGE for a book-club style discussion of the nonfiction book Nobody’s Victim, by Carrie Goldberg.
Riveting, personal, and empowering, Nobody’s Victim invites readers to join Carrie on the front lines of the battle against sexual violence and privacy violations. Nobody’s Victim is a bold and much-needed analysis of victim protection in the era of the Internet: an unflinching look at a hidden world of stalking, blackmail, and sexual violence, online and off—and the incredible story of how one lawyer, determined to fight back, turned her own hell into a revolution.
Please join us -- whether you've had a chance to read the book or are just interested in learning from this discussion of victim protection in our age of internet harassment, stalking, blackmail, and sexual violence.
If you have a chance to read the book, we encourage you to mark a passage or two that you found especially meaningful, moving, resonant, or otherwise significant to share and reflect upon with the group. The discussion will be led by Project SAGE staff including Linda Ciano, Director of Community Engagement.
Copies of Nobody's Victim are available for borrowing at the Scoville Library. See the display across from the circulation desk on the main floor.
Registration is requested. Please use the link below.
This program is presented in partnership with Project SAGE, a non-profit domestic violence agency serving Northwest Connecticut and the surrounding communities in New York and Massachusetts.
