Yellowisa! A story time with local children's author Audra Salazar

Yellowisa! A story time with local children's author Audra Salazar In-Person

Audra Salazar, a Sharon resident and children's author, will share her book, followed by a craft and book-inspried snack! It's the perfect story to get everyone in back-to-school mode!

Yellowisa

Eloisa loves to laugh, play, and eat a banana every day. One summer day after eating her favorite snack, suddenly Eloisa turns bright yellow!
As her first day of kindergarten quickly approaches, a now very yellow Eloisa fears what her classmates might think and say. After she finds comfort in prayer, Eloisa heads to school where the other children soon point, laugh, and call her hurtful names like Yellowisa and giraffe. Feeling sad and discouraged, Eloisa returns home where she creates a smart plan. Will this plan help her classmates learn how to view others with new eyes?
Yellowisa is an inspirational story about how inclusivity and acceptance can help during the first few days of kindergarten.
